The Koi and Fuj-Sang collection consists of earrings and necklaces with different shapes connected by the central theme of the Koi carp, a symbol of good luck and longevity in the Far East. The carp, a protagonist of Japanese art, represents the tenacity in overcoming obstacles and the courage in pursuing great goals.
The first pairs of earrings feature an asymmetrical design with brass elements depicting the Koi carp and its Kanji on an oval and rectangular base. The second pairs, composed of two symmetrical circles, show swimming Koi carp and a landscape with Mount Fuj-san and the Wave, iconic symbols of Japan. Japanese Kimono silks remain the main basic decoration for both shapes, combined with natural stones and mounted in gold-plated brass, and with black or transparent plexiglass bases which renew the tradition.
The Koi and Fuj-San collection combines art, culture and craftsmanship through the representations of an iconic Japanese symbol.
